Library Governance
The Washington County Public Library System's Board of Trustees establishes policies that govern the operation of the Washington County Public Library System of the Jonesborough Library and Gray Branch Library. Board meetings are open to the public and will have public notices placed at both branches at least a week in advance advertising them.

The Board of Trustees is a seven-member panel, the current roster of which is:

We have two openings on the Washington County Tennessee Library Board, effective December 31, 2025.

The purpose of the library board is to oversee the Library Director and advocate for the mission of the Library.

Meetings are scheduled monthly.

Board appointments are for three-year terms.
