Washington County Public Library is excited to welcome our new Director, Laura Moree! Join us in welcoming Laura to our community and library system!

A word from Laura:

"I'm a librarian with over 18 years of public library experience. I received my BA in Archaeology/ Anthropology with History and Art History minors from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and earned my Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a concentration in Archives.

I'm honored to have worked in libraries in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee in nearly every department, to include local history and genealogy, programming, collection building, and more. In my spare time, I love reading, artistic pursuits, and spending time with my family."
