Washington County Public Libraries is excited to welcome our new Jonesborough Library Services Manager, Jonathan Burchett! Join us in welcoming Jonathan to our community and library system!

A word from Jonathan:

"I am a librarian with approximately 13 years of experience. I began my career as a volunteer at my hometown library and have since worked in nearly every department, including circulation, reference services, programming, as well as management and administration. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Emory & Henry College and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University. This fall, I will complete a Master of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University.

My experience spans a wide range of library settings, including public, school, corporate, and correctional facilities. However, public libraries are where my passion truly lies. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exploring my various hobbies and collections, watching movies and television, and spending time with family and friends."
